Make a Reservation!
One of the funniest moments in recent memory was when I was sitting around a table with a group of moms talking about our plans for Easter. The topic: What are you making for Easter dinner? The mom's around the table were an array of beautiful women, some with young children and others with an empty nest. The funny part was what everyone was making. The laughter started when one of our silver-haired friends says, "I'll be making... a reservation!"
We all went to pieces. But it got me thinking, how often do I miss a great restaurant experience because I don't take the time to make a reservation? So I found Open Table. It reminds me of UrbanSpoon, only better. In fact, there's not an app for that, but I think it's worth dropping your iPhone and taking a look.
You enter your city, your neighborhood, the kind of cuisine you're in the mood for, and enter the date, time and party-size for your reservation. Could this be any easier? I don't think so!
So if you're thinking you might get stuck cooking this Mother's Day, do the right thing and say "no" to making roast beef or grilled chicken. Say "yes" to making a reservation and making your day!
