Today's suggestions really hit two sides of the same coin. I was thinking about gifts for the "do it yourself" dad. If you're married to him (or lived with a dad like this growing up), you know what I mean. He loves a project whether it's in the house, out in the yard, or in the garage (ie. cars).
But that got me thinking, sometimes there is nothing better than a "do it yourself" gift. Something straight from the heart and made by little, loving hands. So, here are two lists: one for your man to "do" and the other for you and the kids to make. I think you'll find something that's a perfect fit!

Kid Made:
- A photo bookmark (says "mother's day", but dads who are bookworms will love this too)
- A miniature golf course (indoor or outdoor!)
- A monogram painted hammer
- Kid-made brunch just for dad - try this Hamburger Hash
- Totes, Kits and Sweets at Family Fun - cool stuff!
- Anything with hand-prints and poems written by the kids (Am I right? - Lots of ideas HERE)
- Buy him a new shower head and give him the joy of installing it!
- Has he been pining for a new patio? Buy him the supplies to get started.
- Does he love tinkering in the car? How about new sound equipment?
- Do you need an organized garage? Set him free to get it done!
