I know that I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. I live out that knowledge by loving and caring for the world around me. The Bible is more than my guidebook or a book full of inspirational quotations, but a living and active book used by the Holy Spirit. I believe in what Jesus Christ did for humanity on the cross and find myself compelled to love Him more everyday. Most days I fail. Then comes grace.
Even if you hold to a different faith or if you call yourself "atheist," I hope that you will find yourself at home here. Hope and joy are good for everyone even if we don't agree on where it comes from.
My Friends and Family
What is better in life than great friends and family to share the journey? I can't think of a single thing. My husband and kids bring joy to my life each day. As crazy as life can be, I always know that my husband is there to hold my hand through it all. My kids can be called on anytime for a sweet kiss or a snuggle... I know it won't be that way forever so I am enjoying it for now.
Music
We are a music-loving home. If you come to visit, chances are you'll find a tune floating in the air. Pandora is no question the best music website, in my opinion. You'll find the kids rocking out to their current favorite CD in their rooms. Meanwhile, I'll have my staples playing out in the kitchen or living room.
What are my favorites? So kind of you to ask! Seeing that music is one of my passions, you may not be surprised that I love a wide variety of artists and genres. Here are just a few that, in spite of myself, I just cannot get tired of:

I could also list here things like the entire Tarzan soundtrack by Phil Collins, but instead I will try to come back from time to time and recommend other great tunes.
Living Green
I believe in not only caring for the earth, but enjoying it too. That is why I love "green" living. I still have a long way to go, but I love how this is helping my kids to make conscious choices in their everyday life too.
We plant our own garden and it is amazing to watch the kids digging in the dirt and harvesting the veggies! We compost, save water in different ways, shop with reusable shopping bags, and walk or ride our bikes when possible.
I hope to share with you some of my own ideas and great ideas that I haven't even tried yet to help us be environmentally aware.
